PAX E700 Smart EPOS
The PAX E700 combines an electronic cash register and a consumer payment terminal into one unit, which cuts out the step of running separate systems for order entry and card processing; everything happens on one screen.
That screen is a 12.5" HD touchscreen running PAXBiz, PAX's Android-based platform, sized noticeably larger than the handheld PAX terminals in this lineup. The larger display is meant to make both the staff-facing order entry and the customer-facing payment experience easier to navigate, rather than working through a small handheld screen for full transactions. It includes a hybrid card reader and dual cameras, supporting a mix of traditional and alternative payment methods, and security runs on multiple layers, including PCI 5.x SRED, a payment card industry standard for encrypting card data at the point of entry, plus NFC contactless support.
